Dear Earl:

Thank you for your letter regarding POST ALPHA-BITS Cereal. We apologize for not using your last name, but you did not include it anywhere on your letter or envelope. We were pleased to learn of your interest in our cereal and we certainly enjoyed hearing from you.

However, we would like to point out that we have not misspelled ALPHA-BITS. This cereal was given this name because it consists of bits of cereal baked and puffed into the shape of letters of the alphabet.

Your letter also mentioned that the cereal had other stuff in it. Certainly, this should not have been the case and we are anxious to determine what could have happened. If you have kept some of the material in question, we would appreciate it if you would send it to us so that we may forward it to our plant for analysis. [Note: it appeared to be bits of Honeycombs cereal, which I sent with my letter, but it probably got pulverized in the mail.]

We hope that you will continue to use POST ALPHA-BITS Cereal and we are enclosing some complimentary coupons which your mommy may use at the store. If we may ever be of assistance with any of our products, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Sincerely,
(Mrs.) P--- L----
